PrintTeachers' Symposium
The Innovations in Secondary School Science Education Symposium was established in 2004 to create stronger links between the university and the local schools. It is timed to coincide with the University of Maryland's annual Bioscience Research and Technology Review Day, which is held each November.
The format of the symposium was developed in consultation with teachers, and consists of content presentations by experts in the field, demonstrations of innovative teaching practices, and discussions of current issues in secondary education.
