Teaching & Learning

Our teaching and learning programs consist of three interwoven initiatives:

• A curriculum redesign effort to create a research-intensive undergraduate curriculum by that uses innovative, engaging pedagogies to introduce research methods at the introductory level and allow for open-ended inquiry in subsequent courses.
• A disciplinary Teaching and Learning Center to enhance professional development of graduate students (future faculty) and to support faculty involvement in science curriculum reform.
• A Teaching and Learning Fellows program that allows graduate students and postdoctoral fellows to become deeply involved in curriculum reform efforts.
